French actress Eva Green is known internationally as the "Bond girl" Vesper Lynd in the 2006 version of Casino Royale (starring Daniel Craig), another version of James Bond. She is the 007 Blonde.
Trained at the Ecole d'Art Dramatique Eva Saint-Paul in Paris, she spent two years on the French stage before making her film debut in Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers (2003). The 25-year-old French brunette showed the public everything in an erotic drama, "The Dreamers," and had a very steamy sex scene with Orlando Bloom in "Kingdom of Heaven", which needed serious editing. Nevertheless, Eva Green wasn't Columbia's first choice. She got her shot after more established stars like Angelina Jolie, Thandie Newton and Charlize Theron passed, playfuls.com reports.
She appeared in the French film Arséne Lupin in 2004 (with Kristin Scott-Thomas), and then played a randy royal opposite Orlando Bloom in Kingdom of Heaven (2005, directed by Ridley Scott). After filming Casino Royale Green went to work on the film version of Philip Pullman's fantasy novel The Golden Compass, the first of the His Dark Materials trilogy.
